Wet & Wild

I went to the new waterpark Wet & Wild yesterday. It's in northern northern northern Phoenix, above the 101. And to be honest, it wasn't worth the money or drive. First off, it cost $35 to get in plus tax. Second, you had to pay for parking (which to me doesn't make any sense when it's the park's parking lot). Also, the "lazy river" had absolutely no scenery at all like Sunsplash does. It was just a very slow-moving river that went around nothing. The slides were not that exciting and there really weren't that many of them. The "Tornado" was fun but that was the only one. All the slides are in tubes so you don't get wet enough. The other parks have slides where you go down without a tube. They also don't have any speed slides, like the "Bonzaii" (i think that's how it's spelled) like in Sunsplash.

Don't go with small kids or babies because there is absolutely nothing for them. They are only allowed to go in the lazy river and the wave pool (and the wave pool's waves were really small and unexciting). The "children's play area" is for big kids. They actually measure them to make sure they are tall enough. It's not like Sunsplash where they have little mini slides and water spouts for little kids to play with. Lastly, they don't have any water fountains and if you want a cup of water you have to pay for it. Isn't there a law somewhere that says you have to have free water for people?

Basically, Sunsplash is closer and cheaper (I think - I haven't been there in a few years) and honestly more fun. Besides, it has Golfland right next to it to play minigolf or arcades if you get bored. So yea, I wouldn't recommend Wet & Wild. But I still had a little bit of fun :)
